The world comes to Louisiana, bringing the music, costumes, cuisine and traditions of the french speaking cultures found everywhere. For five days cajun, new world and every other type of music blend together to delight eager crowds.
The largest outdoor, FREE Francophone event in the U.S.
Cultural representaives (i.e. great bands) from places like France, Canada, Haiti, Zaire, New Orleans and Lafayette will attend.
Music at six diffent stages:
Friday, April 10, 2009 to Sunday, April 12, 2009
The local's festival. Food including everything from gumbo to crawfish and goat cheese crepes.
Bands will be performing Jazz, World, Blues, Cajun, Gospel, Funk, Soul and Rock.
The festival is held at various locations throughout the French Quarter.

The Holy Guardian Angels Catholic Church is proud to sponsor the Gumbo Festival. Over 2000 gallons of Seafood and Chicken & Sausage Gumbo will be prepared.

"Le Cajun" French Music Awards starts with the Friday Awards Ceremony celebrating the achievements in Cajun music during the past year.
Saturday and Sunday are devoted to a cajun dance festival.
