The Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival has something for everyone, from carnival rides, food, and music to sack races and an egg throwing contest. There is even a strawberry eating contest (imagine that) and a hollering contest. The food covers the gambit from seafood gumbo, italian sausage, onion mums to funnel cakes and fried alligator. There are even strawberry pasteries. And don't forget about the Strawberry Strut, a one mile and 10K race for all ages.
