Summary: Sennheiser MX500 Headphones
Bought these at the suspiciously low price of $8.99. Are they Chinese "fakes"? If so, the quality is very good.
Pro's: Excellent 5-star sound for most types of music -- the bass is very good, just not mega (buy the Sonys for that)!! Delivers high volume with minimal distortion. Convenient inline volume control. I liked the unequal cords because they allow placement behind the neck, and are less obstructive.
Con's: earphones too large for my ears, hence 4 stars only; left bud kept slipping out (so I have one small eardrum!).
Overall, a good replacement set of earphones for my broken Sandisk M240 set. I can't understand the lack of bass complaints -- it's there loud and clear. Don't blame me if they're Chinese "fake"; what can I say? I was skeptical at first until I received them. I don't believe the very expensive earphones are any better than these cheap ones. Maybe I was lucky........but then I also got "lucky" on a $9 set of Sony MDR EX700 headphones that I use when I really need to crank up the bass. Regardless of origin I love these earphones and would highly recommend them for anyone who loves listening to a wide range of music (keep the Sony EX700's for heavier stuff)..

Summary: Great sound, great price
Sound isn't the same as studio headphones, but these are portable and don't cost as much. Much better than the ones that come with any iPod or MP3 player!

Summary: Decent headphones...
I've owned these headphones for over a year now, and they're still going strong. The audio is only decent, not great, and I'm no audiophile. Probably better than the standard ipod headphones though. The build quality is very good - I've been pretty rough on them, yet they're still in very good shape. The in-built volume control is a very handy feature, though I've noticed that when put above the minimum setting, it tends to distort the sound with slight hissing in the background. Nothing terrible, but when I have a choice, I'd much rather increase the volume using my mp3 player, and not the headphones, because that doesn't cause any sound distortion. These headphones have a high max sound volume - I can't imagine anyone wanting the sound any louder than its max possible volume. I haven't tested the sound quality at very high volume settings due to not wanting to damage my ears, but I imagine, like the vast majority of other headphones, there are rather sever sound distortions at the upper sound levels. I find these headphones to be very, very comfortable, to the extent that I often forget I'm even wearing them. Overall, I think there are probably better headphones out on the market for the same price range, especially if you care a lot about sound quality, but if you value comfort, and a hardy design, these headphones are for you.

Summary: so so
I had read a lot about these, but when I finally got them I was a little disappointed as they were not that great. Ended up replacing them with a pair of CX300s for airplane trips and PX100s for home use. The latter are way superior to anything I have used with my iPod ever!!!
But I do like the case!!!

Summary: I love my Sennheiser Ear Buds!
I was looking for a cheap, but not too cheap pair of earphones, and stumbled across this gem! These are AWESOME earphones for a small price! I was amazed at the great sound, and they have a super handy volume control on the chord too! Comes in great handy when someone starts talking to me, as my MP3 player tends to be tucked away and locked.
I would definitely recommend these earphones to anyone looking for some good quality sound without emptying the bank! These are great!
