RCA Wireless Phone jack System, Wireless Set 6.2 Rev.
Product Description
The RCA RC926 wireless phone jack converts your existing electrical outlet into a phone jack without the need for tools or wiring. Plus, it's fully expandable, allowing you to add as many additional RCA RC926 extension units as you need. The RC926 is very easy to install. Just insert the transmission unit into the AC wall outlet and connect the RJ-11 cable to the existing phone jack. Next, plug the included extension unit into the wall outlet. You can plug it into any outlet within your home. A green indicator light on the side of each unit indicates that it is functioning normally. A reset button lets you change the location of the phone jack or switch phones. The RC926 features built-in surge suppression and is ideal for placing a phone anywhere that an extension phone jack is not readily available. The RC926 is compatible with corded and cordless phones, answering machines, fax machines, and computer modems. It also supports call forwarding, call waiting, three-way calling, conference calling, and speed dialing.Once installed, the wireless phone jack system is fully expandable--you can add an unlimited number of extension units and phones throughout your home. --Megan Dugan

Summary: Works For Phone and Fax Line As Well
Not much to say other then it works as described.
It took a few attempts to get it to sync but so far so good.
I use it for getting a fax line in a room with no phone jack and it does the trick.

Summary: RCA Wireless Phone Jack
This item works as advertised, but does not provide high-quality or clear audio.
I tested it at an electrical outlet not surrounded by electronic equipment. It put out a lot of static. I installed it at an electrical outlet next to a power strip operating electronic equipment and got the same high level of static.
Pros: It installs easily and provides an extra phone jack at the location where it plugs into an existing phone jack. This let me continue to use my landline phone. I did not expect this extra phone jack.
Con: The audio quality of the telephone line that plugs into the remote receiver is poor.
I will keep the unit because it provides an adequate signal for interaction between my receiver and my satellite provider. Otherwise I would return it.

Summary: Phone Jacks
These phone jacks are great! You can put them anywhere in the home with just a basic pug in, no installation. The cost was just under $40. My cable company charged over $10 more than that to come out to install 1 jack. Not to mention I would have to be available at the times that they gave me. With this there was no wait other than the wait time to receive it in the mail. They are great!

Summary: Product did not work
The product did not work even after I tried all the suggestions and called the manufacturer's tel # for assistance. They advised the product would only work if the units were on the same circuit breaker which was not advertised and would have eliminated it for me immediately. I tried it anyway on the same circuit breaker and it still did not work. The outlet was very helpful with the return, but it arrived at their location on 1/14/10 and utill I e-mailed them 1/28/10, I had heard nothing. After my e-mail, they responded immediately, and so did you about my return credit.

Summary: Would not function properly
I purchased this to add a phone line to the 2nd floor of my house (which does not have a phone jack) - simply adding a traditional phone line, no VOIP, no TIVO, nothing fancy. We have DSL, so I used the 2Wire filters and tried every phone jack in the house for the base. Some had a clearer connection than others, but with every attempt, after 5 seconds to 60 seconds, the line would disconnect and the remote phone was left with no connection. I reset the units, followed all troubleshooting options, and still had the same problem.
I returned this unit - I don't know if this was an individual defect, or another symptom of a faulty product, but based on the negative reviews, I won't be ordering another to find out.
