Summary: Love it!
We live in Honduras and I have a maid/cook. I was desperate for a cookbook that had American recipes that she could understand. She has made 4 recipes out of this book and they all turned out wonderful. Its perfect because I can buy the ingredients off of the english side and she can cook off of the spanish side. I wish there were more books like this!

A great gift that I purchased for my daughters homestay mom in spain. She speaks no english, loves to cook. This book had recipes on way side of the page in english and the other side in spanish and all american recipes. This was really the only book I found by american cooks.
She loved it!!

Summary: LOVE the bi-lingual layout
I bought this cookbook so my Spanish speaking cook and I could work together more easily and she could learn to make some "gringo" family favorites for us. We both really like the way each receipe is laid out clearly in both Spanish and English side by side. She's learning more English and I'm definately refining my kitchen Spanish with this book. There are no fancy entrees here or gourmet type things in this book and that is just fine with us. The food is basic, simple comfort type fare with standard ingredients that can be purchased at any grocery store cheaply and easily.
